uvex octo+ is the first ever fully automatic adjustment mechanism for ski helmets. In the campaign, the way this revolutionary technology works was showcased as a product experience that leaves nothing to be desired. In terms of content as well as visually.
Everything fitted together perfectly! Because not only was our campaign visually unique and distinctive - it also explained the benefits of the revolutionary octo+ system in an easily comprehensible manner. The octo+ system features 10 flexible fins which adjust automatically to any head shape or size. The striking red design, celebrated for its superiority, provided the key visual for the campaign. Because the helmet is so quick and easy to don that users are always first on the slopes! So from now on, you’ll be first in line.
Not only was the name of the technology and the wording inspired by the ten tentacle-like fins of the helmet - the design of the logo is also reminiscent of an octopus, creating a high recognition factor together with the key visual. Bingo! Because thanks to our campaign, the new uvex technology not only keeps the helmet firmly on your head - but also firmly imprinted on your memory.
A scrolling experience!
At the heart of the campaign was the microsite. 3D animated sequences demonstrate objectively, impressively and responsively how the octo+ system works - on all end devices. Users can scroll easily and playfully through all the various highlights of the technology and discover why there’s no better adjustment mechanism on the market.
The 3D animated sequences were also included in a video tutorial to explain the technology at trade fairs and points of sale, and catch viewers’ attention. And as pictures speak far louder than words, the video also serves to inform and win over consumers on the website and YouTube.
Whether on the technology highlights pages of retailer catalogs or as print ads in special interest magazines -retailers and consumers alike were instantly gripped by the tentacles of the octo+ system! In this manner, the superior nature of the new uvex technology penetrated all media - for more fun and safety in the snow.

We were also responsible for showcasing the octo+ system as a technological highlight at various trade fairs (ISPO, SPOGA, EUROBIKE) and at points of sale. Trade fair visitors were able to discover the features of the innovative helmet in a so-called tech cube. In the centre of this cube, a “holo transparent showbox” for the octo+ system formed the visual highlight.
